About Joan
Joan is known as a caring and compassionate patient advocate. She can always be counted on in times of need. Her bedside manner and work ethic have been recognized by co-workers, supervisors and patient families, alike. Inspired by a NICU success story in her own family, Joan always knew that her mission was working with those newborns and their families. A mission she has been fulfilling for nearly 20 years.

Acted as Admission Nurse, Hypothermia Nurse, Preceptor (both new and experienced nurses)

Utilize HFNC, NCPAP, Oscillator, JET, as well as conventional ventilators
Patient clientele and diagnoses treated include but not limited to: neonates 24weeks and older, NEC, meconium aspiration, myelomeningocele, giant omphalocele, cardiac lesions (i.e. TAPVR, CoArc, DORV) CHD, TEF, narcotic withdrawal and end-stage renal disease
